In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have partnered with top experts to implement new standards of safety and enhanced operational protocols and procedures which are among the most stringent in the hospitality industry.

 

We are pleased to share that the new operational standards being implemented at Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche and at Accor properties across Middle East & Africa were developed in partnership with hygiene solutions specialist Bureau Veritas, a world leader in testing, inspections and certification. Furthermore, a global partnership has been forged with global insurance giant AXA in order to provide guests with free medical support that includes consultations with medical professionals by phone or in the location where they are staying.

 

As such, the hotel received the Accor’s ALLSAFE and UAE Department of Culture & Tourism’s GOSAFE certification.

At each touchpoint along the guest journey through Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche, extensive measures are being taken to protect guests and team members:

 

Hands-on training for all employees, a dedicated on-property rollout committee and a formal audit program, validated under the global ALLSAFE Cleanliness label, ensure initial and continued compliance.

The appointment of specially trained ‘ALL Safe Officers’ to oversee all cleaning-related hotel operations, preventative measures and to handle guest enquiries

Free health support with AXA, including access to medical professionals and consultations by phone or on the location

***

Physical distancing marks throughout the hotel and dining outlets

***

Masks and gloves provided to guests and worn by all employees (changed every 4 hours)

***

Assisted contactless check in and check out

***

Virtual / Digital restaurant and in room dining menus are available

***

Daily temperature checks using thermal cameras for all employees, guests, contractors and vendors when entering the hotel

***

Masks are to be worn at all times within the property except when inside the swimming pools

***

Hand sanitizers are placed strategically in public areas around the hotel

***

Clear acrylic cough/sneeze protection screens are installed at our Front desk to prevent contamination between guests and employees

***

Smart payment methods are available at the hotel reception and restaurants to minimize contact through cash

***

All rooms & suites are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after checkout then kept vacant for hours before they are occupied by the next guest

***

Amenities in rooms including Minibar as well as Turndown services are provided only upon request

***

Physical distance signages have been placed strategically around public areas to remind everyone to adhere to social distancing guidelines

***

Public areas which are touched frequently such as door handles and elevators are sanitized regularly throughout the day

***

Tables in all restaurants are being arranged at a safe distance between guests. All restaurants also offer à la carte service instead of buffet service

***

Valet parking has been discontinued until further notice. Self-parking is now offered in designated parking zones.

Sofitel FITNESS  | treadmills and other aerobic equipment are also kept 2 meters apart

Sofitel FITNESS| Sunbeds around the pool are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after every use. Sunbeds are also kept 2 meters apart to maintain physical distance between guests. When inside the pools, guests are required to maintain a physical distance of 1 person per 4 square meters

Sofitel SPA | is open with all safety guidelines in place

In the event that any employee or guest displays the symptoms of a viral infection, our ALL Safe Officers are well-trained to handle this effectively and efficiently
