At Sofitel, we design joyful experiences inspired by our French zest for all the modern hedonists in the world. We believe that there’s no better way to discover a destination and its culture than by protecting the environment and supporting the local communities. Together, we can make each stay a contribution to the world. Because the destination we travel to matters just as much as the bed we sleep in.

At Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche, we are far from being flawless, but we are strongly committed to doing better.

Here are some of the practices we’ve developed so you can join us in making a difference:

-Certified by Hotel Sustainability Basics 2025

-The hotel operates its own internal water bottling unit to reduce plastic waste. We’ve eliminated approximately 150,000 single-use plastic bottles In 2024.

-LED lights are installed to ensure minimization of electricity consumption. About 7% of electricity saving in 2024.

-Sensors and aerators have been introduced in bathrooms to reduce water usage.

-Menus are aligned with vegan and vegetarian diets, and local food sourcing promotes a sustainable food culture. 20% a la carte and 40 % buffet menus in our restaurants are vegan or vegetarian.

-Guests are encouraged to reuse linens and towels to minimize laundry cycles
